Innovate for Impact
The IDSSA is collaborating with the International Development Conference (IDC) and the Open Praxis Forum (OPF); we are excited to announce our first ever “Innovate for Impact” hackathon set to occur on January 19th and 20th during the 2024 annual student-led international development conference. As part of the event, participants in teams of up to five will be able to develop an AI/technology-leveraged solution related to contemporary development issues and then pitch it to a panel of judges during the last day. The event is set to take place at Highland Hall Events Center at UTSC. Prizes will be awarded to the top three winning teams of the hackathon. Professor Networking Mixer
The IDSSA will host Professor Mix and Mingle. We will discuss questions about grad school, how to get work experience and the GDS field in general. This event is a great chance for students to network and mingle with professors and peers.
